The billet 7075 aluminum oil pump is 50% harder and stronger than standard factory pumps, providing tighter tolerances under heat and contributing to improved oil circulation and pressure. These enhancements help eliminate common issues like wet sumping, blowby, and oily air cleaner buildup, ultimately leading to increased reliability and engine longevity.
Engine testing shows notable gains, including 3 horsepower and 4 ft./lb. of torque at the rear wheel, demonstrating the effectiveness of this upgrade. The kit also features Race Series® hydraulic lifters, available in full-travel (.200”) or short-travel (.115”) versions. The full-travel lifters are designed with a slower bleed-down rate to handle heavy valve spring pressures, increase RPM before valve float, and accommodate steep ramped camshafts. The short-travel lifters help decrease valve-train harmonics and reduce valve float at higher RPMs while maintaining a quiet engine operation.
