Upgrade your water-cooled M8 Harley-Davidson engine with the FEULING PARTS Oil Pump with Cam Plate HP+®. Designed for optimal performance, this high-volume oil pump significantly increases oil pressure and flow, ensuring better lubrication and cooling during operation. The billet 6061 aluminum pump and FEULING® High Flow billet camplate made from 7075 aluminum provide durability and strength, with the camplate being 50% harder and more resistant to wear than factory components. These enhancements help maintain engine temperatures 15°-25°F cooler and oil temperatures 15°-30°F cooler, contributing to improved engine longevity and performance. The increased oil volume from larger gears and optimized passages supports critical engine components such as lifters, piston cooling jets, crankshaft, and rod bearings, reducing wet sumping, blow-by, and oily air cleaner issues. Bench-tested oil pumps feature relief valves sealed to a minimum of 30 psi with full pop-off at 55-60 psi, ensuring consistent oil pressure under various operating conditions. The combination of the FEULING® oil pump and camplate effectively addresses common pressure and scavenging problems associated with factory oiling systems, resulting in quieter and smoother engine operation. The oil pump includes a groove on the back cover to accept the factory crank bearing seal, simplifying installation. Made in the USA, this upgrade also provides a measurable gain of approximately 2 horsepower and 2 ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheel, based on test results. Additionally, FEULING® offers an optional fastener kit (Part #2401-0993) for easier assembly. Note that the M8 oil pick-up port is located on the right side of the engine, and proper warm-up procedures are recommended to ensure accurate oil level readings when idling or warming up on the kickstand.
