Unlike the stock mainshaft that includes gears 1 through 4, the DD7 features a lightweight design with only a shortened 1st gear, reducing shift clunk and providing a smoother riding experience. The gear set is engineered to deliver continuous acceleration from 1st to 4th gear, thanks to its tightened gear ratios and improved design.
Features include a new linear roller ball detent integrated into the billet top cover, ensuring smooth gear shifts. The gear set comes fully assembled and ready to install without any case modifications, shimming, or adjustments, making it a hassle-free upgrade. It includes the 7th main drive gear, main drive gear bearing, and main drive seal, along with new gaskets for the door, side cover, and top cover, plus a self-adhesive side cover emblem for a clean finish. The door bearing is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum with wider bearings and a retainer plate instead of snap rings, contributing to increased durability and stability. ARP 12-point bolts secure the door, top cover, and side cover, ensuring a secure fit. The DD7 door bearings are 28% wider than stock, providing enhanced support and longevity. This gear set utilizes the F6F door bearing retainer plate and reuses the stock shifter pawl for seamless operation.
