The DD7 gear set features a shortened 1st gear along with tighter gear ratios in the remaining gears, providing smooth, powerful acceleration from first through fourth gear while minimizing shift clunk for a more refined riding experience. The use of a new linear roller ball detent, housed within a billet top cover, ensures shift smoothness and reliability. The kit is ready for installation without the need for case modifications, shimming, or adjustments, simplifying the upgrade process. It includes a new main drive gear, main drive gear bearing, and main drive seal, along with a polished aluminum door, door gasket, side cover gasket, top cover gasket, and a self-adhesive DD7 side cover emblem, offering a clean, professional appearance. The door is manufactured from durable 6061-T6 aluminum with wider bearings and a bearing retainer plate replacing stock snap rings, contributing to enhanced durability and stability. ARP 12-point bolts secure the door, top cover, and side cover, ensuring a tight, secure fit. Additional components such as the Baker re-cal box and leads are included to facilitate a seamless installation. The DD7 door bearings are 28% wider than stock, utilizing the F6F door bearing retainer plate for added strength. The design reuses the stock shifter pawl and is manufactured proudly in the USA.
