The Feuling Parts Race Series Reaper 508 Camchest for Twin Cooled M8 engines offers a high-performance upgrade designed for serious enthusiasts and professional builders. This kit features a billet 7075 aluminum oil pump that is 50% harder and stronger than factory units, providing tighter tolerances under high temperatures and ensuring durability during demanding riding conditions. The kit includes a high-volume race oil pump, a high-flow billet camplate, and a Reaper Series camshaft, all engineered to optimize oil flow, pressure, and engine cooling. These components work together to enhance engine efficiency, reduce oil-related issues, and support increased power output.
Designed with precision, the Reaper 508 camchest incorporates shorter hydraulic lifters with 0.115 inches of total travel, which helps to increase RPM and decrease valve float and harmonics, resulting in a quieter and more responsive engine. The deeper scavenge kidney ports surpass previous HP+ series, delivering improved flow volume for superior oil scavenging. Additionally, the kit provides significant increases in gear pressure and volume—30% and 53% more for M-Eight Twin-Cooled motors, and 27% more pressure with enhanced scavenge volume for oil-cooled M-Eight engines—ensuring reliable oil delivery and cooling.
Further improvements include a 68% increase in oil flow to the crankshaft and connecting rod bearings, leading to cooler engine and oil temperatures by 15°-30°F. The setup also raises oil pressure by 10-30 PSI, reducing wet sumping, blow-by, and oily air cleaner issues. Magnets incorporated into the oil pump help protect gears and relieve pressure safely.
