The Dakota Digital MVX Series Analog Gauge System offers a comprehensive instrumentation package designed for 1999-2003 and 2011-2022 motorcycle models. Featuring a stylish case with a 4-1/4-inch diameter and a bezel of 4-5/8 inches, this gauge system combines multiple vital readouts into a single, sleek display. The system includes a 140 mph speedometer, tachometer with adjustable shift point, odometer, dual resettable trip meters, and full indicator lights for turn signals, high beams, neutral, and low oil pressure, providing essential information at a glance.
For newer models, the MVX system offers advanced customization with 31 user-selectable colors for pointer, backlight, and LCD message center, enhancing visibility and style. The tachometer can display up to 8,000 RPM with digital numeric readout and peak RPM recall, facilitating performance tuning. Additional features include resettable miles to service with a countdown warning, an hour meter, a 12-hour clock, voltage readout with low-voltage alert, and optional sensors for cylinder head temperature and oil pressure (sold separately).
The system also supports a seven-speed gear position indicator compatible with 3- to 7-speed transmissions, automatic turn signal canceling, wait-to-start and check engine light functions, and performance calculations such as 0-60 mph time, top speed, 1/4 mile time and speed. Wiring installation involves cut/splice connections, making it suitable for custom setups.
