The DRAG SPECIALTIES SHOCKS C16-0156A feature nitrogen-charged steel monotube damper bodies with hard chrome-plated shafts, ensuring durability and smooth performance. Dual-rate progressive wound springs provide a comfortable ride by adapting to varying road conditions and rider preferences. The shocks include adjustable spring preload and ride-height adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune your motorcycle's stance by approximately ½ inch from the listed size. These black shocks, with matching springs and damper bodies, are designed to mount with existing hardware, making installation straightforward for most models.
Constructed for durability, these shocks are shorter than OEM length, which may influence travel, ride quality, and handling. Lowering your motorcycle can reduce ground clearance and cornering ability; therefore, it is essential to verify that wheel travel and clearance are adequate to avoid contact with components such as the swingarm, chain or belt guard, exhaust, or tires. Note that OE upper shock mount covers will not fit these shocks, and they are not compatible with rear lowering kits. Custom mounting might be necessary on models with OEM-style offset mount shocks, especially if using non-standard configurations.
