These 13-inch shocks feature nitrogen-charged steel monotube damper bodies with hard chrome-plated shafts, ensuring durability and consistent performance under various riding conditions. The dual-rate progressive wound springs provide a smooth, comfortable ride by adapting to road irregularities, while the adjustable spring preload allows customization to your riding style and weight. The ride-height can be fine-tuned with a +/- 1/2-inch adjustment from the listed size, enabling precise control over ground clearance and handling characteristics. The black finish on the springs and damper bodies not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also offers corrosion resistance for long-term durability. Designed to mount with existing hardware, these shocks are compatible with a wide range of models, but installation may require some modifications, especially on models with OEM-style offset mounts. Shocks shorter than original equipment length may reduce travel, which could impact ride quality and handling, and lowering the motorcycle decreases ground and cornering clearance. Before installation, verify that wheel travel can be adjusted without causing clearance issues such as contact with the swingarm, exhaust, chain or belt guard, or tires. Please note that OE upper shock mount covers will not fit these shocks, and they are not suitable for use with rear lowering kits. For models with OEM-style offset mount shocks, some custom mounting may be necessary to ensure proper fitment and performance.
