The Progressive Suspension 944 Series Shock is designed for riders seeking superior ride quality with a lowered profile. Featuring a unique Ultra Touring spring configuration, this shock provides the suspension travel and comfort of a 13-inch shock while maintaining the sleek, custom lowered look of a 12-inch shock. This model sits approximately 2 inches lower than a stock touring shock, offering improved control and a sportier stance without sacrificing ride performance. Built around Progressive Suspension’s Frequency Sensing Technology (FST), the shock automatically adjusts damping based on bump frequency, ensuring a smooth ride over various road conditions.
Equipped with the QPS upgrade kit, installed on 444 Series and 944 Series shocks, riders can easily adjust preload without removing saddlebags. The sealed gear drive mechanism allows for smooth, precise preload adjustments, maintaining the same range as factory shocks. The preload can be adjusted by hand, eliminating the need for special tools, which simplifies customization for different riding loads and styles. The shock features a progressive rate mainspring, specifically designed for touring motorcycles, and is high-pressure gas charged for consistent, reliable performance. Available in three configurations—standard (up to 250 lbs.), heavy-duty (250-350 lbs.), and super heavy-duty (over 350 lbs.)—these shocks accommodate various rider weights and load conditions.
