The system includes a billet 7075 aluminum oil pump, which is 50% harder and stronger than factory units, ensuring tighter tolerances and durability under high temperatures. This upgrade not only improves oil circulation but also eliminates issues like wet sumping and oily air cleaners, resulting in cleaner engine operation and reduced maintenance.
The kit features full-travel hydraulic lifters with a .200” total travel, designed specifically to handle heavy valve spring pressures and high RPMs. These Race Series® lifters incorporate a slower bleed-down rate, increasing valve float resistance and accommodating steep ramped camshafts. Their design reduces oil aeration inside the lifter, which is critical for maintaining consistent oil pressure during aggressive camshaft operation. For models from 1999 to 2001 equipped with Magneti Marelli ignition, the kit requires a rear cam sprocket for proper installation. An optional Feuling® x ARP oil pump and camplate bolt kit (Part #2401-0993) is available for additional customization and security.
