This comprehensive kit increases engine displacement from 114/117 inches to 132 inches without requiring case machining, offering a significant boost in power and performance. The package features a big bore 4.320" cylinder with forged pistons and an 11.0:1 compression ratio, delivering improved torque and horsepower. The system includes an S&S oil pump and cam plate, with removable passage plugs for easy servicing, and independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest, ensuring optimal oil flow and filtration. A debris screen in both scavenge pickups and a magnet in the cam chest work together to prevent debris from entering the oil pump, prolonging engine life.
Designed for durability and performance, the kit has increased oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenge sides, and an adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure with the unit installed. Quickee pushrods with pushrod tubes, premium S&S tappets, and hard anodized, black-coated billet aluminum tappet cuffs provide reliable valve operation. The S&S valve springs are compatible with cams up to 0.605" lift, and the high-performance conical single wire spring design ensures durability under demanding conditions. The HPT496 cam is specifically engineered for big bore applications, delivering a balance of power and efficiency.
The package includes a multi-layered steel (MLS) head gasket for reliable sealing, a 132 cam cover badge for aesthetics, and retains the stock engine height and original serial numbers. Compatible with stock crankcases, stock and S&S roller rocker arms, and both first and second-generation valve springs, this kit offers a seamless upgrade path.
