This comprehensive kit features a large bore 4.320" cylinder and 11.0:1 forged pistons, delivering increased power and performance. The inclusion of an S&S oil pump and cam plate ensures reliable lubrication and optimal engine operation. Passage plugs are removable for maintenance, and independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest facilitate thorough servicing. A debris screen in both scavenge pickups, along with a magnet in the cam chest, helps prevent debris from entering the oil pump, promoting engine longevity. The kit also offers increased oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenging sides, supporting higher performance demands. An adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure with the unit installed, ensuring optimal lubrication under various conditions. Quickee pushrods with pushrod tubes, premium S&S tappets, and hard anodized, black-coated billet aluminum tappet cuffs contribute to durability and precise valve operation. The HPT496 cam is specifically designed for big bore applications, working seamlessly with stock and S&S roller rocker arms, and compatible with both first and second-generation stock valve springs. The included MLS head gasket ensures a reliable seal, while the kit retains stock engine height and original engine serial numbers.
