The S&S Cycle Camshaft Kit model 106-5225 is engineered for effortless engine start-up and optimal performance for Twin Cam models from 2007 to 2017 and Dyna models from 2006. This kit features a specially designed camshaft that reduces initial crank compression, facilitating easier starts without sacrificing engine power or efficiency. Once the engine reaches higher RPMs, centrifugal mechanisms retract the compression release lobe, allowing the engine to run normally with full compression for maximum horsepower and torque gains. Designed for engines ranging from 88 to 106 cubic inches with compression ratios between 9.7:1 and 10.5:1, as well as larger 106 to 124 cubic inch engines with ratios from 9.0:1 to 10.0:1, this kit ensures high performance across a variety of setups. The result is increased horsepower and torque starting at around 3,000 RPM and sustained through the redline, which varies from 3,500 up to 6,000 RPM depending on engine size. Installation is straightforward with a bolt-in design that includes essential components such as camshafts, gear cover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, O-ring, thread lock, and detailed instructions. Built in the USA, this kit requires the installer to verify coil bind, valve-to-valve, and valve-to-piston clearances to ensure proper operation. Note that this product is not compatible with models equipped with OEM compression releases, making it essential to confirm your engine configuration before installation.
