This travel reduction helps increase RPM, decreases valve float, and minimizes valve-train harmonics, resulting in a smoother engine operation and improved power output. The design also reduces oil aeration inside the lifter during high-lift camshaft operation, which mitigates noisy lifter behavior caused by air pockets that can lead to poor performance and excessive wear. Proper installation involves setting the lifter with approximately 0.065 to 0.070 inches of pre-load, with engine heat expansion bringing it to an optimal operating preload around half travel, ensuring effective valve-train stability. The lifter is compatible with Feuling's HP+® and Race Series® oil pumps, making it suitable for a variety of high-performance engines. Its high-flow disc-style check valve reacts swiftly at higher RPMs, while the precision ground needle roller bearing with a high chromium steel axle guarantees long life and minimal friction.
