Upgrade the primary drive system on your 2017–2026 M-Eight model with the Darkhorse Motor Company Man O-War Compensator Sprocket, part number DH-MMS-A34. This performance-engineered primary motor sprocket replaces the OEM compensator and is designed to provide immediate torque response while helping absorb engine pulses through its cushion-drive system. The result is a more refined primary drive feel without the harshness and noise commonly associated with one-piece solid motor sprockets under load.
The Man O-War system is engineered for long-term service and durability compared with conventional OEM compensating sprockets, while maintaining rider comfort. Its patented design places equal emphasis on responsive power delivery and reduced drivetrain harshness. Unlike compensators that must be replaced as complete assemblies, this unit can be rebuilt and serviced in place, offering a practical service advantage for riders who demand dependable performance and maintainability from their primary drive components.
Made in the USA, the Darkhorse Motor Company DH-MMS-A34 is intended for M-Eight applications from 2017 through 2026. Installation and compatibility should be evaluated according to the specific motorcycle configuration. Due to factory starting phase assignment, starting issues may occur when the Man O-War Motorsprocket is used with easy-start cams. The engine control module uses crankshaft deceleration to determine phase assignments for the front and rear cylinder timing. Darkhorse Motor Company does not recommend combining these two products, as doing so may lead to starting difficulties.
