The Feuling Parts Race Series M8 Lifters (Part 4017ST) are engineered for high-performance street and strip engines. Featuring a revolutionary design with a total travel of 0.115 inches, these lifters provide increased RPM potential by reducing valve float and harmonics in the valve train, all while maintaining a quiet operation. The shorter travel reduces the amount of oil needed to fill the lifter, decreasing oil aeration during high-speed, high-lift camshaft activity, which helps prevent noisy and poorly performing lifters caused by aeration inside the lifter body. These lifters are machined from a durable steel body, designed to withstand large lift camshafts and higher valve spring pressures, with a slower bleed-down rate to ensure reliable performance under demanding conditions. They are compatible with Feuling® HP+® and Race Series® oil pumps, making them suitable for a range of applications from street driving to competitive racing. Proper oil flow is essential for maintaining top-end lubrication, and these lifters are built to deliver consistent oil delivery, supporting maximum valve lift and valve-train stability for increased engine RPM. Equipped with a precision-ground needle roller bearing and a high chromium steel axle, the lifters offer long life and minimal friction, while the high-flow disc-style check valve ensures quick response at higher RPMs. Developed using Spin-Tron dyno testing and proven on the track, these lifters are made in the USA. Feuling recommends pre-filling each lifter by hand before installation using a thin oil such as ATF to remove air, ensuring full pump-up and optimal performance. For engines with valve spring pressures exceeding 185 pounds, Feuling advises using Race Series® lifters along with a high-volume oil pump for quieter, more reliable operation. These lifters are designed to meet the demands of high-performance engines, providing increased RPM, better valve-train stability, and reduced valve float for maximum valve lift efficiency.
