The patented Pro-Touring Flare design incorporates distinctive side “hips” that redirect wind away from the rider and passenger while adding downforce to the motorcycle’s front end. This can help improve stability compared with riding with the stock windshield. A raised flip at the top of the Flare redirects airflow into cleaner, less turbulent air, helping reduce the buffeting commonly associated with motorcycle windshields. The design was developed and tested in a wind tunnel to support consistent aerodynamic performance.
Constructed from premium hard-coated polycarbonate, the Klock Werks Pro-Touring Flare is engineered for safety and added durability. The windshield arrives predrilled for straightforward installation using the motorcycle’s original windshield hardware, making it a practical upgrade for touring-focused riders. Made in the USA, it combines functional wind management with a dark smoke finish that complements a wide range of motorcycle styles. To protect the tint and surface coating, clean only with a gentle product such as Shine Werks or mild soapy water. Avoid harsh ammonia, alcohol, and solvent-based cleaners, including Windex, which can remove wax and UV protection. When using dish soap, follow with a wax-based cleaner such as Shine Werks to help maintain the windshield’s appearance and performance.
