The S&S Cycle 106-5234 Easy Start Camshaft Kit is designed to simplify starting performance for select Harley-Davidson Twin Cam applications. Its automatic compression release initially reduces crank compression during engine startup, helping the engine turn over more easily. As engine speed increases, the compression release lobe centrifugally retracts, allowing the engine to operate with full compression and normal performance without sacrificing power.
This bolt-in camshaft kit is designed for 88, 95, and 103 cubic-inch engines with compression ratios from 9.0:1 to 10.0:1. It delivers a power increase across the operating range from 3,200 to 5,700 rpm, making it suitable for riders seeking stronger performance throughout the power band while retaining convenient starting characteristics. The kit is intended for 570 chain drive configurations and selected Twin Cam model applications, including 2007-2017 models and 2006 Dyna models.
