Larger-than-stock valve pockets accommodate valves up to 2.00 inches, offering additional flexibility for performance cylinder head configurations. No machining or crankshaft rebalancing is required for the conversion when installed according to the included instructions.
This S&S Cycle cylinder kit is made in the USA and is intended for experienced installers familiar with Sportster engine assembly. It will not fit XR1200 models. Installation on 883 cc models requires XL1200 cylinder heads to achieve the correct compression ratio. For maximum performance, S&S Cycle recommends combining the kit with CNC cylinder head porting, performance camshafts, upgraded exhaust components, and intake modifications.
