Upgrade compatible Harley-Davidson Twin Cam engines with the S&S Cycle 330-0299 Easy Start Camshaft Kit, designed for 103 cubic-inch engines with MR103 chain drive. The automatic compression release feature reduces cranking compression during startup, helping the engine start more easily. As engine speed increases, the compression release lobe retracts centrifugally, allowing the engine to operate with full compression and without sacrificing performance.
The bolt-in camshaft design is intended for engines using the stock 9.7:1 compression ratio through applications with compression ratios up to 10.5:1. The camshafts are engineered to deliver increased power across the usable rpm range, with strong results from approximately 2,500 to 5,500 rpm. This kit works with stock, unported cylinder heads and is also well suited for use with S&S CNC-ported heads, making it a versatile choice for performance-oriented Twin Cam builds.
The S&S Cycle camshaft kit includes camshafts, a gearcover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, O-ring, thread-locking compound, and installation instructions. It is made in the USA and designed for select Twin Cam models from 2007 through 2017, as well as 2006 Dyna applications. During installation, the installer must verify coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance. This kit is not intended for models equipped with original-equipment compression releases. Confirm engine configuration and application compatibility before installation.
