The S&S Cycle 330-0346 Easy Start HP103 Chain Drive Camshaft Kit is designed to make starting a properly equipped engine easier while delivering strong high-rpm performance. During cranking, the compression release lobe temporarily reduces compression to help the engine start with less effort. As engine speed increases, centrifugal force retracts the compression release mechanism, allowing the engine to operate with full compression and without sacrificing performance.
This bolt-in camshaft kit is designed for 103 cubic-inch engines using the stock 9.7:1 compression ratio or compression ratios up to 10.5:1. The cam profile is intended to build power in the high-rpm range from approximately 3,000 to 6,000 rpm, making it well suited for riders seeking stronger top-end performance. It works effectively with stock, unported cylinder heads and is also a strong match for S&S Cycle CNC-ported heads.
The kit includes camshafts, a gearcover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, O-ring, threadlocker, and installation instructions. It is made in the USA and is designed for applicable Harley-Davidson Twin Cam models from 2007 through 2017, as well as 2006 Dyna applications. Professional installation is recommended, and the installer must verify coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance before final assembly. This camshaft kit is not intended for models equipped with OEM compression releases.
