The S&S Cycle 330-0445 Easy Start HP103 Chain Drive Camshaft Kit is designed for 1999-2006 Harley-Davidson Twin Cam engines, excluding 2006 Dyna models. Its centrifugal compression release system reduces cranking compression during startup, helping the engine start more easily. As engine speed increases, the compression release lobe retracts automatically so the engine operates with full compression and without sacrificing performance.
This bolt-in camshaft kit is intended for 103-inch engines using the stock 9.7:1 compression ratio, and it can also support compression ratios up to 10.5:1 when properly installed and configured. The cam profile is designed to provide strong power in the high-rpm range from approximately 3,000 to 6,000 rpm. It works well with stock, unported cylinder heads and is also well suited for use with S&S CNC-ported heads.
The kit includes camshafts, a gearcover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, O-ring, thread-locking compound, and installation instructions. Made in the USA, the S&S Cycle 330-0445 provides a complete solution for builders seeking easier starting and high-rpm performance from compatible Twin Cam applications. During installation, the installer must verify coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance. This kit is not intended for models equipped with OEM compression releases.
