S&S Cycle 625G Gear Drive Camshaft Kit for Harley-Davidson Twin Cam Engines, Part 33-5269
Regular price $948.95 USD
Category:
Upgrade compatible Harley-Davidson Twin Cam engines with the S&S Cycle 625G Gear Drive Camshaft Kit, Part 33-5269. Designed for 95, 96, 103, and 110 cubic inch engines with compression ratios from 10.0:1 through 10.75:1, this camshaft kit is engineered to deliver its strongest performance from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm. The gear drive system improves valve timing accuracy by eliminating timing chain lash and the looseness associated with the stock chain drive.
The kit reverses the rear camshaft’s direction of rotation, creating additional operating clearance between the cam lobes. This design allows for higher cam lifts while supporting precise valve train operation. Due to the inherent characteristics of gear drive systems, some increase in valve train noise may occur during operation. The 625G camshaft kit is made in the USA and is intended for performance applications where accurate cam timing and increased lift capability are important.
This complete kit includes camshafts, inner gear, outer drive gears, inner and outer bearings, gasket, and installation instructions. Installation requires material removal from the inner surface of the stock gear cover, along with a hydraulic press and other professional-level tools. High-lift valve springs and adjustable pushrods are required for proper installation. Camshaft bearings and gaskets must be replaced when installing new camshafts. The installer must verify coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance before operating the engine. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct
