Upgrade your Harley-Davidson M8 engine with the S&S CYCLE Power Pack 550C big bore kit, designed to increase displacement from 107 inches to 129 inches without the need for case machining. This comprehensive kit features 4.32-inch bore cylinders crafted for durability and performance, paired with forged pistons that boast an 11.0:1 compression ratio to deliver enhanced power and efficiency. The integrated S&S oil pump and cam plate, finished in striking blue anodized, ensure reliable oil flow and engine longevity. Passage plugs are removable for easy servicing, and independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest help maintain optimal oil circulation. Both scavenge pickups include debris screens, and a magnet in the cam chest helps prevent debris from entering the oil pump, protecting your engine components. The kit offers increased oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenging sides, contributing to better cooling and lubrication under demanding conditions. An adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure while the engine is assembled, providing customization to match your riding style. The set includes Quickee pushrods, high-quality S&S premium tappets, and black-coated, billet aluminum tappet cuffs for durability and improved aesthetics. Designed to work with S&S 550 cams, which are optimized for big bore applications, the kit also supports valve springs capable of handling cam lifts up to 0.605 inches with a high-performance conical spring design. Made in the USA, this kit is suitable for VVT models but is not compatible with trike configurations. Please note that intake and rocker cover gaskets are not included, and the kit does not require any case modification, making it a straightforward upgrade for serious performance enthusiasts.
