The S&S Cycle Power Pack 550C is a high-performance big bore kit designed specifically for M8 engines, transforming 114" and 117" models into powerful 132" machines without the need for case machining. Featuring a 4.32" bore and forged pistons with an 11.0:1 compression ratio, this kit delivers significant horsepower and torque gains. Built with quality and durability in mind, the kit includes an S&S oil pump and cam plate with a sleek blue anodized finish. Passage plugs are removable for easy servicing, and independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest enhance oil flow and system reliability. Dual debris screens in both scavenge pickups and a magnet in the cam chest help prevent debris entry into the oil pump, ensuring clean oil circulation. Increased oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenge sides supports the demands of larger displacement engines. The adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure with the kit installed, providing additional customization for optimal engine operation.
The kit also features Quickee pushrods and premium S&S tappets, with black coated, hard-anodized billet aluminum tappet cuffs for durability. S&S 550 cams are designed for big bore applications and work seamlessly with valve springs up to 0.605" lift, utilizing high-performance conical single wire springs for reliable valve operation. Made in the USA, this kit is compatible with VVT models but is not intended for trike applications. Please note that intake and rocker cover gaskets are not included, so proper installation requires the use of existing or purchased gaskets.
