Enhance your Harley-Davidson M8 engine with the S&S Cycle Power Pack 550C oil-cooled kit, designed specifically for 114 and 117-inch configurations with a 4.5-inch stroke. This bolt-in kit increases engine displacement to 132 inches without requiring case modifications, making it a versatile upgrade for performance enthusiasts. The kit features a 4.32-inch bore cylinder setup with an impressive 11.0:1 compression ratio, utilizing forged pistons that deliver reliable power and durability. The updated profile and high-quality components ensure a seamless fit and optimized performance, backed by the trusted S&S quality standard.
Incorporating a premium S&S oil pump and cam plate with a sleek blue anodized finish, the kit offers enhanced oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenging sides, promoting better lubrication and engine longevity. Removable passage plugs facilitate easy servicing, while independent scavenging sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest improve oil circulation and debris removal. The debris screens in both scavenging pickups and the magnet in the cam chest help prevent debris entry into the oil pump, preserving your engine's internal health. The adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure with the unit installed, ensuring optimal performance under various conditions.
The Power Pack includes Quickee pushrods, S&S premium tappets, and hard-anodized, black-coated tappet cuffs made from billet aluminum, providing durability and efficient valve operation. Designed to work with S&S 550 cams, this kit supports cam lifts up to 0.605 inches and features high-performance conical single-wire valve springs to accommodate aggressive cam profiles. Made in the USA, this kit is compatible with VVT models but not suitable for trike applications. Please note that intake and rocker cover gaskets are not included, and the kit’s aesthetics are complemented by wrinkle black finish with chrome pushrod tubes for a striking appearance.
