The S&S CYCLE Power Pack 550C is a high-performance bolt-in upgrade designed to significantly increase engine displacement from 114 or 117 inches to 132 inches on M8 platforms without requiring case modifications. This kit features a refined profile and includes 4.32-inch bore cylinders with a 4.5-inch stroke, forged pistons with an 11.0:1 compression ratio, and durable components crafted for strength and longevity. The integrated S&S oil pump and cam plate with a striking blue anodized finish ensure reliable lubrication and efficient oil flow. Passage plugs are removable for maintenance, and independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest facilitate thorough oil circulation. Each pickup includes a debris screen, and a magnet in the cam chest helps prevent debris from entering the oil pump, contributing to engine longevity. The kit offers increased oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenge sides, supporting high-performance operation. An adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure while the unit is installed. The included quickee pushrods and S&S premium tappets, with black coated, hard-anodized billet aluminum cuffs, ensure durability and precise valve operation. Designed for big bore applications, S&S 550 cams provide optimized performance with compatible valve springs capable of handling up to 0.605-inch lift, utilizing a high-performance conical spring design. Made in the USA, this kit is compatible with VVT models but not suitable for trike applications. Please note that intake and rocker cover gaskets are not included, and installation should be performed by qualified technicians for optimal results.
