Enhance your Harley-Davidson M8 engine with the S&S Cycle Power Pack 550G oil-cooled kit, designed specifically for 107-inch models and capable of increasing engine displacement to 129 inches without requiring case machining. This high-performance upgrade features 4.32-inch bore cylinders forged pistons with an 11.0:1 compression ratio, delivering increased power and efficiency. The kit includes an S&S oil pump and cam plate with a durable blue anodized finish, providing reliable oil flow and component longevity. Passage plugs are removable for straightforward servicing, and independent scavenge sections ensure effective oil return from both the flywheel cavity and cam chest. Debris screens in both scavenge pickups combined with a magnet in the cam chest help prevent contaminants from entering the oil pump, safeguarding engine components. The oil system has increased flow capacity on both feed and return sides, supporting higher performance demands. An adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning of oil pressure with the unit installed, ensuring optimal lubrication under various conditions. Quickee pushrods and S&S premium tappets facilitate precise valve operation, while the black-coated, hard-anodized tappet cuffs made from billet aluminum provide durability. The S&S 550 cams are engineered for big bore applications and are compatible with valve springs up to 0.605 inches of lift, utilizing a high-performance conical single wire spring design. Made in the USA, this kit is suitable for VVT models but not compatible with trike configurations. Please note that intake and rocker cover gaskets are not included.
